Sticky Particle Dynamics with Interactions

We consider compressible pressureless fluid flows in Lagrangian coordinates in one space dimension. We assume that the fluid self-interacts through a force field generated by the fluid itself. We explain how this flow can be described by a differential inclusion on the space of transport maps, in particular when a sticky particle dynamics is assumed. We study a discrete particle approximation a...

A New Sticky Particle Method for Pressureless Gas Dynamics

We first present a new sticky particle method for the system of pressureless gas dynamics. The method is based on the idea of sticky particles, which seems to work perfectly well for the models with point mass concentrations and strong singularity formations. In this method, the solution is sought in the form of a linear combination of δ-functions, whose positions and coefficients represent loc...

Supersymmetry of a spin 12 particle on the real line

We study one dimensional supersymmetric (SUSY) quantum mechanics of a spin 12 particle moving in a rotating magnetic field and scalar potential. We also discuss SUSY breaking and it is shown that SUSY breaking essentially depends on the strength and period of the magnetic field. For a purely rotating magnetic field the eigenvalue problem is solved exactly and two band energy spectrum is found.

POINTWISE PSEUDO-METRIC ON THE L-REAL LINE

In this paper, a pointwise pseudo-metric function on the L-realline is constructed. It is proved that the topology induced by this pointwisepseudo-metric is the usual topology.
